Behavior/Discipline Management

Before students can learn academically at school, they need to feel safe. Part of providing school safety deals with student behavior. Districts have a responsibility to ensure that students are taught by teachers, counselors, and administrators who have instructional knowledge in handling behavior problems and setting guidelines at school to preserve dignity, respect, and individual rights of students and staff.

Region 6 provides technical assistance and professional development in research based strategies in working with staff and students in handling behavior problems. For further information please contact the staff members below for assistance.

Possible trainings include:

  • Bully Prevention for students, faculty, and parents
  • CHAMPS
  • Coaching Classroom Management
  • School Safety
  • School-wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support
