Instructional Rounds

Region 6 ESC provides a method of practice, carried out by education professionals, in order to improve teaching and learning. Instructional Rounds include a problem of practice, observations, analysis, prediction, improvement, and links to change. School districts will select participants to observe in real-world classrooms in order to determine factual information that links to campus trends.

This methodology was created by members of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and is based on the model explained in the book Instructional Rounds in Education. This disciplined and collaborative process connects student data to practice and leads to system-wide improvement.
