Disaster Recovery is the process, policies, and technologies an organization uses to restore functionality after a disruptive event. Such events can include natural disasters, cyberattacks (like ransomware), power outages, equipment failures, and human error. Emergency Recovery Goods are supplies and equipment needed during or after such an event.
The primary objective is to acquire high-quality, cost-effective disaster / emergency recovery options, including non-construction services, that meet the diverse needs of the members of EPIC6 that will help minimize the impact of a disruption, such as financial losses and data loss, and to resume normal business operations as quickly as possible. Examples include but not limited to:
Flood damage mitigation and restoration; natural disaster (tornado, hurricane, hail, etc.) damage mitigation and restoration; fire damage mitigation and restoration; unforeseen or emergency restoration of items or facilities in response to vandalism or human-caused destruction whether intentional or otherwise; unforeseen or emergency restoration of items or facilities after a natural disaster; and cyberattack restoration.
