Legal Issues/Funding
Legal Issues/Funding
Through periodic special education directors meetings and frequent emails, the ESC webpage, along with TEA webinars, districts are kept current in the areas of legal issues and funding. Egrants, residential applications, non-educational community support funding, and funding for programs for visual impairments along with legal issues for compliance and programming are a few of the technical assistance topics provided. Attorneys provide up-to-date legal reviews at each special education directors meeting in addition to workshops for school district personnel. A subscription to a legal newsletter is also provided for each special education program.
