6Tech Integration Fee Service

The mission of the 6Tech team is to prepare technology leaders, instructional coaches, campus and district administrators, and teachers with the skills needed to integrate digital resources and tools into curriculum and instruction in order to promote a student-centred learning environment that encourages communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The various 6Tech fee services provide our districts with a cost-effective solution to meet their technology integration and student-centred learning needs.

  • Annual Technology and Digital Learning Conference (unlimited district attendance)
  • District Onsite Professional Development Sessions (up to 4 days)
  • Face-to-face training at the Region 6 ESC Professional Development Center by Technology Integration specialists (unlimited district attendance)
  • Technology integration instructional coaching
  • Technology integration assistance

Discovery Education™

Region 6 ESC, in partnership with Region 11 ESC, has exclusive rights to offer this service at the best possible price. Region 6 districts, charter schools, and private schools are eligible to receive streaming video services through Region 6 ESC. Streaming video administrator training is required for new districts and is provided free at Region 6 ESC. Additional trainings require the standard onsite training pricing. The following Discovery Education packages are available:

  • Discovery Education™ Streaming PLUS Media Pack
  • Discovery Education™ Science K-8

LearnKey— Online Expert

Advanced Online Technical Training from LearnKey's Online Expert is available for high school students and all district staff members. Training pathways included are; Cyber Security, Networking, Programming, System Administration, Computer Fundamentals, Web & Graphics, Character Building, and Employability Skills for Career Readiness. Beginning in 2019 Microsoft Office and Adobe sessions are only available for district staff as students must now go through Certiport for those two courses
