The Health & Physical Education specialist provides direction and leadership to both the Health and Physical Education programs, Kindergarten-Grade 12. Health and Physical Education are separate curriculum units with different goals, philosophies, and Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Specialists in these curriculum areas assist districts with implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Health and Physical Education (TEKS).
