Visually Impaired

Regional planning is emphasized in the program for students with visual impairments to identify priority needs for increasing student achievement. Specialized equipment and materials are provided to districts to increase participation in the least restrictive environments. Through Quality Program services, districts can identify and respond to program issues of caseload, personnel, related services, and funding. Scheduled forums provide opportunities for staff development, networking, and awareness of trends in the field. Assistance in recruiting certified personnel is available.
