The principal field service agents provide technical assistance to campus principals. The areas of assistance include: communicating information from Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Education Service Center, Region 6 (ESC 6); accessing resources to improve student performance on the state assessments; assisting campus in preparing for performance-based monitoring visits (PBM) and/or other visits from TEA or U. S. Department of Education; providing follow-up assistance after the visits; providing information on state and federal rules and procedures for public schools; and giving recommendations to principals on school improvement planning initiatives. The technical assistance provided by the instructional specialist is available to the campus principal by phone, distance learning sessions, and on-site visits.
