The Business Office Services assessment is a service provided to identify the strengths of the business office and areas of the office’s functions that could be improved and streamlined. Data is gathered by survey, interviews with key personnel, and by an on-site visit. All data will be analyzed to determine the quality of internal controls, accuracy and timely submissions of reports, remittance of required payments, efficiencies of current processes, and compliance with regulations and current law. The functional areas that will be assessed include budgeting, cash management, internal controls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, risk management, and PEIMS submissions. A written report will be submitted to the school district.
