Contracted On-Site Inservice
Region 6 ESC provides on-site inservice for all districts and sessions are arranged by contract (with the exception of workshops presented for certain cooperatives). Contracts are negotiated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Regional Professional Development
The online E-Source includes a “search” and “browse” engine for the ability to find workshops, meetings, conferences and all Region 6 ESC events by audience, title or by topic area. Activities are offered throughout the year in various locations in the Region 6 geographic area. Certificates for professional development hours (CPEs—Continuing Professional Educator hours) are provided, and some workshops are also approved for CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for licensed professional counselors, speech therapists, diagnosticians and school nurses. The online E-Source is continually updated with the new offerings and is completely accessible online for your convenience.

Regional Professional Development is planned to address the high priority needs of Texas educators. A correlation of Region 6 ESC workshops to the Professional Development Appraisal System (PDAS) is provided to assist administrators with workshop approval, campus planning and the writing of professional growth plans.
