Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program (DADAP)

The DADAP course is designed to promote drug and alcohol driving awareness to district students, staff, employees, parents and the community. DADAP is a Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved six-hour course that provides a 5% discount on comprehensive auto insurance to all participants that complete the course and the discount is valid for three years. Note: Article 5.03-4 letter B of the Texas Driver and Traffic Safety Education Act states that the commissioner shall by rule require a five percent premium discount applicable to a personal motor vehicle insurance policy for completion of a drug and alcohol driving awareness program that has been approved by the Texas Education Agency under the Texas Driver and Traffic Safety Act (Article 4413(29c), Vernon’s Texas Civil Statutes).
